pAIramid brings together 13 partners from across Europe and Türkiye, each contributing specialised expertise in AI, aerospace engineering, advanced composite materials, and cutting-edge manufacturing processes. This diverse consortium includes research and technology organisations (RTOs), leading universities, and key industrial stakeholders. By integrating cross-disciplinary expertise, pAIramid advances AI-powered virtual testing to reduce costs and accelerate sustainable aerospace innovation.

IKERLAN

IKERLAN is a technology centre committed to developing the technology that society and companies need to permanently transform their processes, products and services. IKERLAN generates multi-technological knowledge, focusing its activities on digital technologies and artificial intelligence, electronics embedded systems and cybersecurity, and energy and mechatronics.

IKERLAN coordinates the pAIramid project and leads WP5 (AI-powered tools for accelerating and connecting tests) and WP11-13 (Project management and coordination), ensuring the development of the AI-driven virtual certification framework.

IRTJV | Institut de Recherche Technologique Jules Verne

IRT Jules Verne is a mutualised industrial research centre dedicated to manufacturing, working closely with industries, production equipment manufacturers and integrators. Its vocation is to improve the competitiveness of strategic industrial sectors in France by creating disruptive technologies for manufacturing processes.

In pAIramid, IRT Jules Verne leads WP7 (Validation in use cases), ensuring that AI-driven certification and new composite materials are tested in real-world aerostructure applications.

INEGI | Instituto de Ciência e Inovação em Engenharia Mecânica e Engenharia Industrial

INEGI - (Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Engineering) is a Technology and Innovation Centre, created in 1986, dedicated to carrying out technology-based research and innovation activities, technology transfer, consultancy and technological services, geared towards the development of industry and the economy in general.

Within pAIramid, it leads WP3 (LRI and FDM for advanced composite aerostructures), optimising manufacturing processes for aerospace applications.

AMADE - Universitat de Girona | AMADE-UdG

AMADE (Analysis and Advanced Materials for Structural Design) is a research and technology transfer group established in 1999 at the Polytechnic School of the University of Girona. With a focus on the mechanics of materials and structural design, AMADE specializes in fibre-reinforced composite materials. The group provides extensive expertise in testing, simulation, characterization, and the development of composite materials, fostering collaboration between academic research and industrial applications.

It leads WP4 (Advanced modelling of composite manufacturing and performance assessment), developing AI-powered simulations for aerostructure certification.

Fundación GAIKER

GAIKER is a technology centre devoted to the research and provision of innovative technological solutions to companies. It contributes to the technological development and competitiveness of the business sector through learning, development and subsequent transfer to customers of technologies related to its fields of specialisation: Sustainable Composites, Functional and Sustainable Polymers, Recycling and Circular Economy & Biotechnology.

In pAIramid, it leads WP2 (Innovative/sustainable materials for composite aerostructures), developing functionalised thermoset and thermoplastic composites with enhanced aerospace properties.

BRUNEL | Brunel University London

Brunel Composites Centre (BCC) is a research centre part of Brunel University London. The centre sits between the knowledge base and industry, supporting partners in the industry to transfer academic research into industrial application. BCC specialises in novel composites processing, simulation, and joining technologies, applied to industrial environments.

In pAIramid, it leads WP6 (Sustainability, certification, and regulatory compliance), ensuring alignment with European aviation regulations.

MECA | MECA S.A.R.L.

MECA is a design office specialising in technical studies and multi-material calculations for industrial and construction projects. We provide global expertise for high-tech projects, offering solutions in multi-material and multi-physics design, custom structures for architecture and art, failure analysis, and innovative Research & Development studies.

In the pAIramid project, MECA contributes its expertise by facilitating the industrial validation of pAIramid’s materials and processes, ensuring scalability for real-world applications.

LKS | LKS Next

LKS Next Group, with 33+ years of experience and 800+ professionals, offers cutting-edge business and technological consulting. Part of Mondragon, LKS NEXT is specialised in digital transformation for Industry, Services, and Public Administration, partnering with leaders like Microsoft, AWS, and SAP to deliver innovative solutions and expertise in complex processes.

It leads WP6 (Integration and calibration of iTOOL), ensuring the AI-powered virtual testing platform is validated and ready for industry adoption.

TAI | Turkish Aerospace

TA is a company developing several kinds of aerospace platforms, including helicopters, aircraft, UAVs and satellites. It also carries out upgrade programmes for various older platforms and manufactures aerostructures for other major aerospace companies. This background includes not only serial production capabilities, but also R&D, design, analysis and testing capabilities.

It leads WP5 (Validation in use cases), providing real-world testing of pAIramid innovations in full-scale aerostructures.

POTEZ | POTEZ AERONAUTIQUE

POTEZ AERONAUTICS, with over 110 years of experience, is a key player in the aerospace industry, specialising in complex metal and composite aerostructures. Its main activities include aerostructure design and manufacturing, cabin interior outfitting for commercial and business aircraft, and recently expanded into industrial Technical Assistance services.

POTEZ AERONAUTICS is responsible for manufacturing and validating a demonstrator (light aircraft door) using LRI infusion moulding, quality assessment, and structural performance testing.

COLLINS | RTX’s Collins Aerospace

Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, is a leader in integrated and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry. Its 80,000 employees are dedicated to delivering future-focused technologies to advance sustainable and connected aviation, passenger safety and comfort, mission success, space exploration, and more.

In the pAIramid project, Collins Aerospace leverages its extensive experience in aerospace systems and manufacturing to lead WP1 (Requirements, specifications, and definition of use cases), ensuring that the project’s technological developments are aligned with industry requirements and standards.

SOFITEC | Sofitec Aero S.L.

Sofitec stands out globally in aerostructures, composite materials, and metallic solutions for the aerospace industry. Driven by innovation, SOFITEC leverages advanced technology, expertise, and dedication to provide seamless manufacturing and repair services. Its focus on agile production and engineering excellence reinforces its position as a key partner in the aerospace industry.

SOFITEC contributes to LRI process development, manufactures and validates a wing leading-edge demonstrator, and conducts quality assessment and structural testing.

ZABALA | Zabala Innovation Europe

Zabala Innovation is a leading international consultancy firm specialised in innovation strategy and R&D&I financing. With more than 35 years of experience in assisting clients with access to grant funding from several European and International authorities, Zabala is also renowned for its expertise in communication, dissemination, and exploitation strategies, ensuring impactful outreach and maximising the visibility of innovative project outcomes.

In charge of WP 8-10 on Communication, Dissemination, and Exploitation activities for the project, ZABALA will ensure to maximise the project’s impact and sustainability and successfully raise awareness and support for the project’s activities and achievements.
